Reaching out

The social fabric in Malaysia has dramatically changed, over the last few decades. Today many households are run by single mothers who live in the cities in crowded rented flats without extended family support.

Statistics show an estimated 126,810 single mothers who need aid, making up 1.11% of our population.

The Ministry’s Social Welfare Department (JKM) offers financial aid and grants for the mothers as well as the school going children. However, there are times we may not be ale to reach these single mothers. There are also many other agencies funded by us and others who offer various facilities to single mothers.

So if you a single mother or know anyone else who is a single mother, please post your details as there is help available for her, either from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. We have also listed agencies below.

We will try our best to resolve your issues as soon as possible.

Thank You
