Kompleks Penyayang BAKTI came into existence on the realisation that there was a need for an institution that provides an integrated welfare services to the less fortunate such as children, older persons and single mothers.

The establishment of the Complex was the culmination of a joint-effort by Badan Amal Kebajikan Tenaga Isteri (BAKTI) as an NGO, Messrs. Yarisan Holdings Sdn. Bhd. from the private sector and the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia (DSWM) representing the Government. The tripartite alliance not only symbolized the concern of every sectors of the Malaysian society over the unfortunate but also a showpiece of an excellent cooperation.

Under this tripartite cooperation, BAKTI as the promoter of the idea provided the networking for the sectors involved, Yarisan Holdings as the project sponsor provided the funding and the DSWM provided land and management for the administration of the Complex.

The Complex is located on 11 acre of land with surroundings rich in architectural and landscaping based on the Malay village. It portrays a calm and harmonious village within fresh greeneries and orchards. 4.5 acres of the land was planted with fruit trees and indigenous trees from all over Malaysia to enliven a tranquil and relaxing environment.
